Verrado, in Buckeye, has an unusual concept. It is designed as a small town community with a Main Street shopping center with condos above the shops, and homes with front porches and back entry garages. All homes are within two blocks of one of the 20+ parks creating an intimate neighborhood feeling.
Verrado backs to the White Tank Mountains and the 30,000 acre White Tank Regional Park. The community opened for sales in 2004. When complete it will have 14,080 homes. All amenities are represented with its 18 hole golf course, clubhouse, health and fitness center and swimming pools. A new K-9 school was just opened. Commercial development is planned to include medical facilities, office buildings and jobs for as many as 15,000 people.
