The Verdes: Tonto Verde and Rio Verde are two exceptionally beautiful communities to the north of Scottsdale and Fountain Hills, accessible by either route.  They are nestled northeast of the McDowell Mountains.  The McDowell Regional Park forms the west boundary, to the south is the McDowell Indian Community and the east abuts the 2.9 million acre Tonto National Forest. These master planned adult communities offer a wide range of homes and lot sizes in their magnificent setting, with a lifestyle as unique as their setting. They have one inter-denominational church in Rio Verde. Each of the Verdes have two 18-hole championship golf courses, with an extraordinary 18 hole putting course at Tonto Verde.
