Desert Ridge encompassing some 5,700 acres was started in 1997 with the building of the huge Desert Ridge Marketplace and the 950 room JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort, the largest in the valley. This community is ideally located and popular with people requiring a short commute to the city as well as those enjoying the nearness of the Scottsdale amenities.The famed Mayo Clinic Hospital is just across the 101 freeway.
