The Sun Cities

The newest of the Sun Cities, Sun City Grand, completed its sales this past year. The Sun Cities are considered the ultimate in Active Adult living. The communities were built by Del Webb prior to its acquisition by Pulte Homes. The original Sun City started in the '60s and completed in '78 has about 26,000 homes. Sun City West started construction in '78 and sold out in '98 with 16,900 homes. Sun City Grand just completed its build out in 2005 . In all there are 19 eighteen hole golf courses and 13 recreation centers. The communities are totally self sufficient including a hospital, assisted living facilities and every variety of shopping and dining facilities.
