The area of North Phoenix, between I-17 and the Scottsdale line to the east and Anthem to the north

The North Valley is characterized by gently rolling hills and Sonoran desert. Many of the communities feature over-sized lots which open to the adjoining desert. The appeal of this portion of the valley is it's proximity to all of the major freeways quickly accessing the city. It is especially alluring to many for it's immediacy to the shopping, dining and entertainment available in next door Scottsdale without the Scottsdale prices. One of the largest of AZ resort hotels is located there, the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa.
